Nisa Sheikh

Program Coordinator, Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP);  B.A., political science and international relations, Seton Hall University.

Nisa Sheikh is program coordinator for Ready to Run®, NEW Leadership™ and other CAWP programs, assisting with logistics, planning and on-site support. She also supports communication of CAWP's messages through web content, infographics and social media.

Prior to coming to CAWP, Sheikh worked as a paralegal case handler at the Legal Aid Society's homeless rights project and as an advocate at Manavi, an organization that works to end violence against women. She received her B.A. in political science and international relations from Seton Hall University in 2010 and is currently persuing an MSW at Rutgers. She has always been passionate about women's issues and has been an advocate for diversity in politics.
