G. Susan Nemeth
Public Relations Specialist, Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP)

Since 1992, Nemeth has been involved with CAWP's multifaceted work including regional and national Forums for Women State Legislators, NEW Leadership™ residential programs for college women, and Ready to Run™ campaign training programs for women. She helps to promote new programs and recruit participants.  Nemeth earned a B.A. from Douglass College and a mini-MBA from the Rutgers Center for Management Development.

Nemeth began her public service career with New Jersey Citizen Action in the 1980’s, where she organized a statewide coalition of women’s advocates to lobby for path-breaking family and medical leave legislation. Nemeth is active in Princeton where she lives with her family. In November 2008, she was elected to Princeton Township Committee and in January 2011, she was elected Deputy Mayor by the Committee. In November 2011, Nemeth was re-elected to her second term on Township Committee. During her tenure as a municipal official, Nemeth helped created the Princeton Ridge Preserve and played an active role in the successful campaign to consolidate Princeton. Nemeth serves as liaison to the Princeton Environmental Commission, Recreation Board and Sewer Operating Committee. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Princeton Community Democratic Organization and as Vice Chair for Princeton Township on the Mercer County Democratic Committee.

Nemeth earned a B.A. from Douglass College, graduating with high honors, and an A.A. from Middlesex County College, where she received a Faculty Award for Excellence in Studies of History and Social Behavior. In 2006, she completed the mini-MBA program at the Rutgers Center for Management Development.
