Maggie Moran
Adjunct Faculty

Maggie Moran is the President and CEO of M Public Affairs, a leading public affairs and communication firm with offices in New York and New Jersey.  Moran has vast experience in corporate communications, federal and state government, political campaigns and labor relations.  Moran has served in senior roles for major public affairs campaigns in New York and New Jersey, worked for two United States Senators, managed statewide political campaigns for President and Governor, and served as the Chief of management and operations for the State of New Jersey.

In 2010, Moran served as a senior advisor on the election campaign of Andrew Cuomo for Governor of New York. 

Moran played a senior role in the effort to raise the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's tolls.  This strategic campaign resulted in the passage of an increase in fares, creating a $25 billion capital program to maintain the competitiveness of the New York and New Jersey region.  Moran has been involved in countless ballot initiatives, regulatory issues, business development efforts and public education campaigns.

In addition to serving in senior roles in state and federal government, Moran has been very active as a campaign operative.  Moran served as the New Jersey campaign manager for Vice President Al Gore in 2000 and as the Director of Rapid Response for President Bill Clinton in 1996.  Moran served as a Senior Advisor to Attorney General Andrew Cuomo's Governor's race, managed Governor Corzine's re-election campaign in 2009, managed Corzine's coordinated campaign in 2005, and managed the McGreevey $25 million Coordinated Campaign in 2001.

Moran also serves as Visiting Professor at the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University and has also taught in the University's School of Journalism.  Moran earned her bachelor's degree from Douglas College – Rutgers University and is also a graduate of the Mini-MBA Business Essentials program at the Rutgers School of Business.

Maggie Moran resides in Belmar, New Jersey with her husband Matt Doherty and two daughters, Hannah and Claire.
