GINGER GOLD SCHNITZER

Ginger Gold Schnitzer is the Director of Government Relations for the New Jersey Education Association. She is responsible for promoting legislation and regulations which advance public education and public employment. Schnitzer provides political action training for NJEA state, local and county association members. Additionally, she analyzes legislation and regulations pending before the New Jersey State Legislature and the State Board of Education. Schnitzer previously taught public administration/policy making as an adjunct professor in the Political Science Department at Rutgers University. From 1994 until May of 2004 she was also a part-time music teacher at the Religious School of Temple Beth El in Somerset.

Schnitzer served on the Plainsboro Township Committee from March of 2000 until October 2008. She was a member of the Plainsboro Township Zoning Board from 1994 to March 2000, and was vice- chair of that body from January 2000 until her resignation to join the Township Committee. She also served as Co-President of the Douglass College Alumnae Class of 1990 from June of 1995 to June 2000. Schnitzer holds a B.A. in Political Science from Douglass College, Rutgers University, as well as a J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law, and a Master of Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. She is admitted to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bars. Schnitzer was also a 2005 Leadership New Jersey Fellow.
