RUVoting
The central component of our program at the college level is the RUVoting effort, run in partnership with the Rutgers University Office of Student Affairs and the college student governing associations. RUVoting encourages the Rutgers community to become politically engaged, to register to vote, and to turn out on Election Day. Since its inception in 2003, RUVoting has registered approximately 30,000 Rutgers students. |

National Campaign with Harvard University
The Eagleton Institute of Politics is proud to be a member of the "National Campaign for Political and Civic Engagement" based at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. The National Campaign is a consortium of colleges and universities dedicated to developing civic-minded and politically engaged college students. |

College Student Voter
This survey of college students in key states assesses their experiences at the polls in 2004 and makes recommendations for improving students’ experiences in the future. The survey was funded by the Carnegie Corporation of NY and conducted by Eagleton’s Center for Public Interest Polling.

Young Elected Leaders Project (YELP)
The Young Elected Leaders Project studies and works with young people who run for public office. Since the project began in 2002, Eagleton has compiled a database of young elected officials to learn about their backgrounds, interests, issue positions, experiences in politics, and aspirations; convened a conference in May 2003; and issued a report entitled Political Generation Next: America’s Young Elected Leaders.

News for a New Generation
News for a New Generation was a research project aimed at increasing young adults’ interest in consuming political news. It was funded by the Center for Information and Research in Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE).

NEW Leadership
NEW Leadership™, a program of Eagleton’s Center for American Women and Politics, offers a five-day residential summer institute where college students learn about leadership and politics from women leaders. The program’s success has been replicated at 14 sites around the nation, partners in CAWP’s NEW Leadership™ Development Network. NEW Leadership™ also served as the model for Pathways to Politics, a leadership program for teen-age Girl Scouts from across the country.
