Tuck-Ponder has an extensive background in politics, government, media relations and public policy. A former mayor of Princeton Township, she has served as assistant counsel to Governor Jim Florio, assistant director of the New Jersey Division on Women and New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, director of development and public affairs at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and congressional aide to former US Representative Louis Stokes and Senator Frank Lautenberg. She also was a community builder fellow with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Camden, has served as a lecturer at Princeton and Rutgers Universities, and most recently served as the CEO of the Girl Scouts of Delaware-Raritan. Tuck-Ponder also serves as president of Ponder Solutions, Inc. and on the boards of directors of NJ After 3, the Center for Non-Profit Corporations, the Association for Children of New Jersey, the Sharing Network, Pam’s List, Women Advocating for Good Government and the Princeton Democratic Municipal Committee. She is a Leadership New Jersey Fellow (class of 1995), and has coauthored two books published by Random House. Tuck-Ponder is a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
