ROBERT A. ORTIZ, Jr.

Robert A. Ortiz, Jr., born in Corpus Christi, Texas, is counsel at Beattie Padovano, LLC in Montvale. Mr. Ortiz focuses on the practice of corporate, commercial and banking law with special emphasis on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, partnership formations, business start-ups, and commercial redevelopment. Mr. Ortiz is a member of the board of trustees of the Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation. He was appointed by the Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman to the RNC National Hispanic Advisory Committee. He was also appointed by the Secretary of Education of the United States Department of Education to the national board of directors of the Jacob K. Javits Fellowship Program.

In 2002 and 2003, Mr. Ortiz was a nominee from the State of New Jersey to the American Council of Young Political Leaders based Page 8 in Washington, D.C. He is also the co-chairman of the Chairman’s Circle for the New Jersey Republican State Committee. Mr. Ortiz recently completed his term on the board of directors of the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey as Corporate Counsel. He is a committee member of the Government Relations Committee of the Meadowlands Regional Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Ortiz is a member of the New Jersey Hispanic Bar Association, Hispanic National Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Bergen County Bar Association.

Mr. Ortiz received his J.D. from Villanova University and a B.A. from Notre Dame.
